I’ll just say it: I’m not excited about public speaking or the idea of being on TV or on radio. Could be my introverted personality, or that l never know what to do with my hand or maybe because I’m not a huge fan of my voice. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
But guess what?! I had a great time on Expat Life radio show! Steve Allison is a wonderful host! He knows how to make anyone feel relaxed and ready to open up and talk about their life, dreams and plans.
For almost 2 hours (commercials and 4 self-picked songs included) Steve asked about my brief life story and what made my journey into tour guiding and eventually the person l am today.
Talking about my childhood memories, life choices and dreams was easy. But Steve made sure to come up with two of the hardest question you can ask a human being: Who do you think you are? + Where are you heading?
I’m not going to reproduce my answers to those here. But l’m going to answer Steve’s last question: Whatโs your โlife mottoโ in one sentence?
As a person who has a bit of perfectionism obsession mixed with having a hard time choosing just one perfect something… l shared both of my life mottos, that define me to the core:
๐ Enjoy the journey, because life is all about the journey, not the destination. ๐
๐ A jack of all trades is a master of none… but still better than a master of ONE. โ๏ธ
This was an awesome experience and I’m grateful for it! ๐ Let me know what you think about it!
You can listen to Expat Life every Thursaday, live on Radio Guerrilla, from 7 pm.
The guests are expats living in Romania or Romanian repats or people who travel a lot and have a story to share.
What I like about it is that Steve not only asks about the fun and exciting stories or the struggles of an expat, but also about their life journey. It’s like watching a movie and you get to see the hero’s beginning in life, some major choices and turnovers, and everything that lead to who they are today. So you might get inspired. ๐
